Course Details – This is a Four year full time degree program. Earlier it was a three year full time degree program but L.U has become the first university to adopt the NEP (New Education Policy -2020), so it has increased 1 year in this degree program for research and specialization for the better professionalism and opportunities for students.

The course covers a number of subjects during its study period. B.Com mainly focuses on Accounts, Mathematics and Economics. It is one of the oldest degrees offered by Colleges in India. Normally, it is a program that lasts 3 years. In the past, B.Com. used to be a general course, covering number of subjects, which were commonly related to commerce sector. Students had to select a combination of subjects that they had to then pursue. At present, the old B. Com. program is offered across Colleges in India. Along with it, newly introduced specialization programs are also being offered across many Indian Colleges.

Eligibility Criteria – Minimum 45% or equivalent in 10+2 (Gen/OBC/ Min). Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidates

Attendance – A student must put in 75% of the total attendance for each subject in the absence of which he will not be eligible to write the exams for the subject.

Evaluation criteria –There are three sessional exams conducted every semester to test both the theoretical and practical knowledge of student in the respective subject along with the Semester end examination.
